I am very excited to introduce our newest sport-luxe menswear brand, Colmar. With its history deeply imbedded in the international sporting scene, this company really knows its stuff when it comes to high-tech garments. Founded in Italy in 1923 by Mario Columbo, this label has had three generations of his family contributing to make Colmar the brand it is today.
After WWII ended and sport on the world stage recommenced, Colmar turned its attention to developing high quality sportswear. Skiing was a particular passion of the brand; so developing a close collaboration with the Italian Federation of Winter Sports was a major stepping stone for Colmar’s success. They soon became a world famous manufacturer of high-performance, specialty winter sport garments.
Colmar stands for sport, style and innovation.
Right from the beginning, sport was integral to Colmar as a brand. Skiing in particular, with its sense of challenge and constant dedication has been the inspiration of this company’s philosophy. The aerodynamic ski apparel designed by Colmar in the 1950s revolutionised professional ski wear. To this day their streamlined fabrics are the choice of champion winter Olympians.
Colmar’s unique style has been honed by years of experience, innovation and success. Style is a physical indication of personality, so if you have a sense of adventure this is the brand for you. The garments we have here at Mr & Mrs Stitch are not the all-in-one ski suits that revolutionised Colmar as a company. However, they still remain true to those roots. Colmar Originals is a contemporary urban-lifestyle collection that is inspired by Colmar’s impressive sporting history. What you can expect is super light down jackets and high tech streamlined windbreakers.
Continued research and innovation is the core of Colmar’s product development. They still test their fabrics in wind tunnels and collaborate with professional athletes in order to design sportswear of the highest quality and performance.
Colmar menswear is designed to perform, whether it’s on the slopes or around the town. And is worn by Hollywood stars as well as skilled athletes:
